Insights onto the Universal Religion and Keeping G-d’s Words.

Live Broadcast Number 25 – Insights on the Universal Religion
Online Course : Video Lesson 2 : Changing G-d’s Words.

If a human being wants to do one of the other commandments from the Torah in order to receive a practical benefit (but not as a direct commandment), we do not prevent him from doing so, even according to its correct laws– for example, if he desires to tithe forcharity from his money or produce, this is permitted – (with the following exceptions). However, if a person observes any of the Jewish commandments from the Torah as a religious obligation (even if he does so from a desire to receive a spiritual reward), this is forbidden based on the prohibition of adding a commandment, and there is no spiritual reward to be derived from this.
